College Dream Tour participants
Students in the Department of Social Work hosted a College Dream Tour on October 24 for youth enrolled in a life skills course with the Fairfax County Department of Family Services.
Social work students were responsible for the planning and implementation of the event. The one-day event gave attendees the opportunity to listen to a panel of first-generation college students, as well as students who were in foster care.
College Dream Tour participants also took a campus tour and dined at Southside. The College Dream Tour event is designed to encourage students, who may not have considered attending college, to go to college.
