Virginia Cronin Honored with "Teacher of Distinction" Award

Cronin will be recognized for this award during the Stearns Center’s virtual Celebration of Teaching Excellence event occurring in the first week of May.

The College of Health and Human Services congratulates Virginia Cronin on receiving the “Teacher of Distinction” commendation from the Stearns Center for Teaching and Learning. Cronin is an Adjunct Faculty member for the School of Nursing and is an instructor in the CHHS Simulation Center. 

 

The Award recognizes Cronin’s dedication to educating future nurses and commitment to ensure her students receive quality instruction that will prepare them for a career in health. “I am grateful for this acknowledgment because it feels more than just an individual recognition,” Cronin said. “I believe it also validates the hard work of all the faculty in the nursing skills lab as we build in our students a foundation of competencies needed in today's health care environment.” 

 

The award committee applauded Cronin on her teaching, learning, and mentorship practices for students in the School of Nursing. Cronin will be recognized for this award during the Stearns Center’s virtual Celebration of Teaching Excellence event occurring in the first week of May.
